Nutrition in my life-

Food and nutrition has always been a big part of my life in trying to not only achieve the highest and most elite level of athletic performance but also in leading an all-around healthy lifestyle. In dealing with an eating disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, non-celiac gluten sensitivity, and a lactose intolerance, I have spent the last few years navigating the ins and outs of the world of nutrition and how it relates to all aspects of my life (emotional, physical, physiological, etc.). With so much personal experience behind me I felt compelled to share this knowledge with the hope that others may pursue a holistic and well-rounded life like me.

Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching-

In order to share this knowledge in the most informed way possible I obtained my Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching Certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (view certificate: NASM Certificate).

So what is a nutrition and lifestyle coach?

A nutrition and lifestyle coach is there to offer nutritional, behavioral, and wellness guidance to help you accomplish your performance, athletic, or other lifestyle goals. A nutrition coach is also there to hold you accountable, motivate you, and keep you informed on the latest nutritional guidelines and practices.

**Disclaimer: A nutrition coach is NOT a certified medical professional or a nutritionist/Registered Dietician (RD) and as such I will not be able to help or offer advice to those with chronic health problems related to nutrition (i.e. health problems, Diabetes, and Eating Disorders). I believe in the power of eating a well-balanced diet that fits the specific needs and goals of the individual. Several of my nutrition and wellness philosophies include ideas like “eat the rainbow”, everything is good in moderation, and physical exercise and meditation is key to balancing out your diet and maintaining a healthy holistic lifestyle. Balance is key! What I DO NOT believe in is strict calorie counting, cutting out certain food groups, or other extreme diet fads.
